The War Game

This film was made in 1965 by the BBC as a worse case scenario of what could happen in the aftermath of a nuclear war in London. It is technically considered to be a fictional docu-drama, but it won an Oscar for Best Documentary. It was originally intended to air on television, but was considered too "sensitive" for all viewers. About half of the film uses actors, while the other half is real interviews with citizens of London, and shows how devastated they would be if a nuclear bomb ever hit their city, or anywhere near them. Although the filming was very juvenile, it is important to take the message into account and realize that no one is prepared for a nuclear war...and there is no way to prepare the citizens of any country for the devastating effects of such weapons. I give this film 2 pigs.
