The Big Lebowski

I can not believe it has taken me ten years to watch this movie. I had heard friends rave about the film, but I had no idea what it was about...in fact, I thought it was an action/drama. In contrast, it is one of the smartest and most original comedies I have ever seen. The Coen brothers have done it again, creating a cult classic. The all-star cast is incredible...Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi...the list goes on and on. This film kept me guessing the entire time, and I feel like I need to watch it over and over again to catch all of the witty banter and plot twists. I don't understand why films like this do not receive Oscar nods... the acting alone should have been considered for several awards. I don't want to share the plot of the story, because I don't want to give anything away to those of you who still have not seen this film. But I am giving it 4 1/2 pigs and recommending it to all of you who don't mind a little crass humor and irreverence.
