Bill

Prior to viewing this movie, I had heard nothing about it...and I mean NOTHING. So, I did a little research and found that some reviewers out there in cyber space have been comparing this movie to American Beauty...even calling it a poorly made American Beauty. I would agree that there are some similarities to the two films. Both films revolve around pathetic, middle-aged men who are stuck in a mid-life crisis and who become inappropriately involved with teenagers to help bring them out of their depression. But that is where the similarities end. American Beauty starred award winning actors and had twists and turns that were tied together beautifully to keep the audience glued to their seats in anticipation. Bill, on the other had, felt like it was dragging on forever, and was not tied together at all. Several aspects of the plot appeared to be thrown in to add depth to the movie, but the writers were unable to connect these varying "plot twists" together to form a cohesive story. The acting was not terrible in this film...Aaron Eckhart did what he could with the terrible writing. I can not in good conscience give this film more than 1 pig...watch at your own risk!
