This is one of those classic movies that I can watch over and over again and still enjoy. Obviously this was not the first time I saw this movie, but I can never pass up a chance to share my opinion about something. It is incredible when you put together a cast of only 6 people who can carry an entire film the way these 6 can. Now, I have to get something out there...I am not a Molly Ringwald fan. I like her movies, but I have always thought that she was not very attractive and not the best actress, and she is very lucky to have found people in Hollywood who liked her look and blessed her with some incredible roles. Having said all that, I want to be honest and inform all of you that I have mastered Molly's "talent" that she shares during this film...it is not that difficult, you should all give it a try. I recently saw an add on TV that shows high school students running around a school and dancing in a library exactly as they do in this film, and I am happy to see that even today's youngsters are able to enjoy this classic. I also think it has something to do with how 80s clothing is coming back in style, but whatever. There are so many classic scenes that are completely unforgettable: Ally's dandruff snow scene, Emilio's bottomless lunch sack, Judd's underwear peak...the list goes on and on. Anyway, because this is a film I can watch over and over again, I have to give it 5 pigs.
