What Happens in Vegas

I did not expect to enjoy this movie...but I did. Ashton Kutcher is not my favorite...I have felt that most of the comedies I have seen him in are obvious and stupid, leaving me with a bitter taste in my mouth and fewer brain cells. However, this film was funny in the not-so-obvious kind of way. It was smart funny...not as smart as The Simpsons, Monty Python, or Arrested Development, but still worth watching if you enjoy comedy. Some very fun stars make appearances in this film, including Queen Latifah, Dennis Miller, Dennis Farina, and Rob Corddry (who is sadly under appreciated and rarely used in a starring role...he is an excellent weird best friend). In general, I love the plot of this film...two people go to Vegas on a whim, get drunk, and end up married (like that never happens!), but instead of being allowed to annul the marriage or get divorced, and judge orders them to live together and honestly try to work it out. Personally I believe that any two people can make a marriage work if they are willing to put in the effort it will take, so I appreciate the moral of the film. This film was funny, but only worth 3 1/2 pigs.
