I have not seen many 007 movies all the way through...but I have seen a little bit of almost all of the films, so I have seen each of the actors who have attempted to play James Bond. Due to my obvious lack of credentials, I can not claim to know what I am talking about when I review a James Bond film. However, that is what I loved about this film...you do not need to be knowledgeable about James Bond to enjoy this film. It was an action packed ride that was entertaining from start to finish. However, when I think about James Bond, I think about the previous actors and their sleazy behavior...not this new Bond with a set of morals and the ability to love one woman. I prefer Daniel Craig's character...but it just does not seem to mesh with the feel of who James Bond is...so I think they should have made this movie and given the lead role a different name, which would have produced a strong action film, not a disappointment to Bond fans everywhere. Personally, I always wanted to see more of Timothy Dalton as Bond...he combined the perfect amount of sleaze and suave to produce an endearing character. Pierce Brosnan was sleazy to the core, so moving from his Bond to Daniel Craig's is difficult to do without feeling a sense of loss. This action film had every kind of chase you can imagine...cars, boats, feet, etc, etc...it was intense. So, as an action film in general, I give it 4 pigs. Bond fans might not agree, but again, I'm not a Bond fan.
